HC Deb 24 February 1977 vol 926 c646W
Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress has been made by his officials in finding a solution to illegal fishing in the Taw and Torridge, for an estimated 1,000 salmon and 4,000 sea trout.

Mr. Bishop

Following the meeting which I had with representatives of the Salmon and Trout Association in November 1976 it was agreed that the South West Water Authority would let my Department have up-to-date details of the problem. These were received earlier this month and are being considered.
