§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the members of his Department's Children's Research Liaison Group working party on infant and perinatal mortality and morbidity; what are the working party's terms of reference; when it was set up; how often it has met; and when it expects to report.
§ Mr. MoyleAs well as Department of Health and Social Security officials and professional advisers there are five external members: Professor J. N. Morris (Chairman), Dr. P. Pharoah, Professor B. M. Foss, Professor V. Dubowitz and Mr. G. Chamberlain. The working party was set up by the Children's Research Liaison Group to study and make recommendations on areas for research, and has met five times since April 1976. The Research Liaison Group expects to receive the working party's advice later this year; and hope this will assist it in working out proposals for research in 1978–79 and subsequent years.
