§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why the land surplus to the area health authority's requirements at the Belmont and Henderson Hospitals site has been offered to the Greater London Council; and if during the course of an Adjournment debate on 5th November 1974 his hon. Friend the Member for Rhondda (Mr. Jones) confirmed that any surplus land would be offered to the London borough of Sutton and not solely to the Greater London Council.
§ Mr. MoyleThe surplus land at the Belmont and Henderson Hospitals site was offered both to the Greater London Council and to the London borough of Sutton in accordance with the standard rules for the disposal of Government land, as was indicated in the hon. Member's Adjournment debate on 5th November 1974.—[Vol. 880, c. 1036.]—Since both 403W councils expressed interest, the land was allocated to the Greater London Council as successors to the London County Council which formerly owned the land.
