asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) how many staff of the Export Credits Guarantee Department volunteered for dispersal to Cardiff;

(2) if he will list the grades of the staff of the Export Credits Guarantee Department who volunteered for dispersal to Cardiff;

(3) what is the total number of staff in the Export Credits Guarantee Department who are required to be dispersed to Cardiff;

(4) if he will list by grade the number of staff in the Export Credits Guarantee Department who are required to be dispersed to Cardiff.

The European Community is already discussing such a policy, both in the Council of Ministers and in meetings of experts from member States. My hon. Friend the Minister of State is also having urgent discussions with his colleagues in member States on this difficult problem.
