asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are now in a position to give further information about the issue of the cupro-nickel and silver crown pieces to be struck to commemorate the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

The cupro-nickel version will be available from main post

totalling £258.95 million, of which 75 per cent. was made to the public sector. Details of the loans are as follows.

offices and from banks, including Trustee Savings Banks, at face value (25 new pence) from 15th March. The silver version will be available only by direct mail order from the Royal Mint at £12.50 each, including presentation case, postage and packing. Information on how to order these silver coins will be announced in the Press. I have arranged for examples of both versions to be exhibited in the Library.
