Mr. Viggers

asked the Lord Advocate what investigation has taken place into the incident on 9th September 1975 on oil rig Waage II approximately 235 miles north-east of Aberdeen which resulted in the deaths of two divers.

The Lord Advocate

The incident was fully investigated by the Procurator Fiscal, Aberdeen, and post-mortem examinations were held. A report of these investigations was submitted to me. I have decided that there should be a fatal accident inquiry into each of these deaths.
