Mr. Henderson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many copies of each of the following newspapers are purchased every day by his Department in order to keep himself and senior civil servants informed on Scottish affairs: The Scotsman, the Glasgow Herald, the Press and Journal, the Daily Record, the Scottish Daily Express and the Dundee Courier and Advertiser.

The Glasgow Herald 3 copies
The Press and Journal 3 copies
The Daily Record 2 copies

No purchases are made of the Scottish Daily Express or the Dundee Courier and Advertiser.
