Osbornasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he has now had, after the conference arranged by the South Yorkshire County Council, with the Chairman of the British Waterways Board, shipping companies, and other commercial interests with a view to setting up a joint venture company to promote South Yorkshire navigation between Hull and Rotherham or Sheffield and link up with the canal and inland waterway systems of the community.
