§ Mrs. Haymanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will list expenditure by programme as a percentage of total expenditure, both current and capital, on health and personal social services in 1975–76, on the basis shown in figure 1 of the consultative document on priorities; and if he will indicate the provisional estimate for 1976–77;
(2) if he will list expenditure by programme as a percentage of total current expenditure on health and personal social services in 1975–76 on the basis shown in figure 1 of the consultative document on priorities; and if he will indicate the provisional estimate for 1976–77.
§ Mr. MoyleExpenditure by programme for the health and personal social services is derived from the accounts and costing returns of the appropriate authorities. Some of the material for 1975–76 has not yet been received but when the analysis has been completed I shall be glad to send my hon. Friend further information. Because of changes in the form of accounting by health authorities since 1973–74, the basis of the analysis of the outturn for 1975–76 will be different from that used for figure 1 in the consultative document, and the figures will not be wholly comparable.
