§ Sir A. Meyerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his policy regarding the payment of interest on sums of money paid by the public for offers of United Kingdom coins made by the Royal Mint in those cases where 12 months have elapsed between the payment and the fulfilment of the order.
§ Mr. Denzil DaviesNo such delays have occurred in the despatch of these coins. A few despatches have been lost in transit, however, and have not been reported to the Royal Mint for several months.
§ Sir A. Meyerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when Mr. S. J. Rimmer of 4 Tarquin Drive, Rhyl, may expect delivery of the proof set of coins which he ordered from the Royal Mint on 19th February 1976, and for which he paid the sum of £21.
