asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will establish an inquiry into capital movements in the United Kingdom during the recent period of rapid decline in the value of the £ sterling, in order to estimate the net loss to the United Kingdom.

No. The authorities monitor external capital flows as a matter of routine and undertake supporting investigations as necessary. I do not think that any special inquiry is required.
