§ Mr. Hannamasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is satisfied that consultant ophthalmologists, when 46W assessing eligibility for registration as blind or partially sighted, take full account of the possible effect of various outdoor situations such as the effect of bright sunlight, or reflection from wet pavements; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisI am advised that consultant ophthalmologists do take full account of all factors affecting vision when assessing eligibility for certification as blind or partially sighted. If the hon. Member has a particular case in mind I shall be glad to have it looked into.
