HC Deb 11 February 1977 vol 925 cc881-2W
Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list in the Official Report the proposed life span for the work experience programme and the proposed cost to the Exchequer of supporting the programme during this period.

Mr. Golding

The work experience programme is currently planned to last for one year, ending in September 1977. The gross cost of the programme for this period was originally estimated at £18 million, plus administrative costs. The possibility of extending the programme is under consideration.
