§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Minister for the Civil Service on how many parliamentary working days during 1975 and 1976 parliamentary papers were delivered late to the Vote Office or not delivered at all as a result of industrial difficulties.
§ Mr. Charles R. Morris,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 4th February 673W 1977; Vol. 925, c. 442–3, gave the following information:
Deliveries of parliamentary papers to the Vote Office were not possible on 10 working parliamentary days in the 1974–75 Session and on seven working parliamentary days in the 1975–76 Session because of major industrial relations difficulties. In addition, various production difficulties were responsible for deliveries of parliamentary papers to the Vote Office being later than scheduled on 94 working parliamentary days in the 1974–75 Session and on 62 working parliamentary days in the 1975–76 Session. The majority of the difficulties referred to were attributable to causes beyond the control of HMSO.
