HC Deb 04 February 1977 vol 925 cc470-1W
Mr. Jessel

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he now expects completion and opening to traffic of the M25 (a) from the M3 to the A3, (b) from the A3 to Reigate Hill, (c) from Godstone to Sevenoaks and (d) from Sevenoaks to Wrotham.

Mr. Horam

Subject to the completion of the remaining statutory procedures and to the availability of funds, construction of the M26 from Wrotham to Sevenoaks is expected to start in the summer of this year and the road to be open to traffic by 1980. The sections of the M25 between Sevenoaks and Godstone are under construction and are expected to be open to traffic in the second half of 1979. It is not yet possible to announce the dates for the anticipated completion of the sections of the M25 between Reigate and Thorpe.
