HC Deb 03 February 1977 vol 925 cc264-5W
Q22. Mr. Warren

asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement about the arrangements for his meeting with Vice-President Mondale.

The Prime Minister

I had useful meetings with Vice-President Mondale on 27th January during his visit to London. The main topic of discussion was the world economic situation, and in particular the possibility of an economic summit meeting of the main industrialised countries. We also discussed Rhodesia, Cyprus, the Middle East and relations with developing countries. The Vice-President emphasised the concern of the United States Administration, which is shared by Her Majesty's Government, about the need to control nuclear proliferation and arms sales.
