§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further financial help and encouragement he has been able to give to the Voluntary Council for Handicapped Children; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisMy Department is making a contribution of £10,000 a year toward the costs of running the council in the current financial year and has promised similar help for the next two years. In addition, we have recently given a special supplementary grant of £7,000 to help with the printing and distribution costs of the council's first publication "Help Starts Here". I have been much impressed by the council's work so far and am pleased to have been able to give its enterprise this practical support.
