§ Mr. Moonmanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his policy towards relations with the Palestine Liberation Organisation.
§ Dr. OwenThe Government's attitude towards the Palestine Liberation Organisation remains totally unchanged. I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to the hon. and learned Member for Montgomery (Mr. Hooson) on 25th June 1975 in which he said that the leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organisation had not yet recognised the existence of the State of Israel and that in these circumstances he found it difficult to meet them.
