asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many kidney patients in Scotland have access to home dialysis units; and how many of these are in receipt of attendance allowance at full and reduced levels, respectively;

(2) what is the total number of kidney patients in Scotland who have access to hospital dialysis units; and how many of these are in receipt of attendance allowance at the full and reduced levels, respectively.

At 30th June 1977, 132 patients in Scotland were undergoing hospital dialysis and 121 patients were receiving home dialysis. Attendance allowances are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services, but I understand that statistics in the form requested are not available.
