HC Deb 13 December 1977 vol 941 c149W
Mrs. Dunwoody

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what arrangements there are in the Cheshire area for the provision of beds for the young chronic sick.

Mr. Moyle

There are at present 56 beds for these patients in the Mersey Region, of which 30 are in Princes Park Hospital, Liverpool, and 26 in a new unit for the younger disabled at Fazakerley Hospital. These provide a service for the region as a whole, including Cheshire. A second unit for the younger disabled, with 26 beds is due to be completed next year at Clatter-bridge Hospital.
