Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to concentrate his Department's computer needs upon Glasgow; and what impact this would have upon units at Rosyth, Devonport, Portsmouth, Chatham, Bath, Innsworth, Worthy Down, Guildford, Stanmore and Mottingham.

Consideration is being given to the feasibility of moving computer work and associated functions from the places mentioned to Glasgow as part of the Ministry of Defence's contribution to the Government's overall programme for the dispersal of Civil Service work.
