§ Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade under what legislative powers he has forbidden Singapore Airlines to serve free drinks and provide free in-flight entertainment for their economy class passengers flying into and out of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. DellAn operating permit was granted to SIA in 1972 under Article 77 of the Air Navigation Order 1972 in accordance with the UK-Singapore bilateral Air Services Agreement of 12th January 1971. That agreement contains an article requiring SIA to charge only the approved tariffs. For this purpose the word "tariffs" includes the conditions, such as the provision of in-flight services, under which those tariffs apply.
