§ Mr. McElhoneThe Scottish Development Department's Survey of Water Resources in Scotland—"A Measure of Plenty "—published in 1973, covered the Scottish side of the Solway Firth. A feasibility study, commissioned jointly by the Scottish Office and the Water Resources Board, into the construction of a barrage across the Solway Firth and its use as a major source of water supply, was undertaken in 1966.
