§ Mr. Denis HowellThe import for the purpose of trade of endangered species included in Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora is already virtually prohibited under the provisions of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act 1976. Licences are also required for the import of threatened species included in Appendix 2 of the convention.
