§ Mrs. Jegerasked the Minister of Overseas Development what plans she has to aid the use of solar power in developing countries.
§ Mrs. HartMy Department is supporting from aid funds the development of a simple, cheap, solar water heater, and I have also agreed to support work on the development of a small solar-powered refrigerator. I would welcome more requests. I am also looking into ways in which we can increase our capacity to help developing countries in the field of new and renewable sources of energy.
