Mr. Ralph Howell

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people have benefited from job creation, work experience and temporary employment subsidy in Norfolk during the past two years; and if he will list each job creation project.

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 29th November 1977; Vol. 940, c. 145], gave the following information:

Information is not available on the numbers of people who have benefited from these schemes in Norfolk during the past two years. However, I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that 247 jobs have been funded in Norfolk under the job creation programme since October 1975 and 198 places have been provided under the work experience programme since September 1976. My Department has also provided temporary employment subsidy for 3,063 jobs in Norfolk since August 1975.
