§ Mr. John MorrisIn addition to those made by the hon. and learned Member, representations have been received from the Llandyssil Community Council and a district councillor on the need for additional safety measures on the Abermule bypass. On the evidence available to the Department from accident records, the bypass cannot be considered to be dangerous, and the provision of a right-hand turning lane as proposed could not be justified on safety grounds. The modified system of traffic signs, which is expected to be in operation by the summer, should provide ample warning of the junction to motorists on the bypass.
