§ Mr. GoldingThis Department compiles statistics showing the numbers of apprentices employed in manufacturing industries in May of each year. For engineering and related industries, the inquiries are more detailed and some analyses by occupation can be given, but these are available on a comparable basis only from 1973.
The following table provides estimates of the numbers of apprentices employed in May of each year from 1971 to 1975. Corresponding information for 1976 will be available in the early summer.
