§ 21. Mr. Penhaligonasked the Minister for the Civil Service what investigations have been carried out by HMSO into the possibility of providing House of Commons stationery and envelopes made wholly or partly with recycled paper.
§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisCertain stationery, other than the die-stamped range, containing a substantial element of recycled fibre is already in use. For the die-stamped range, HMSO will shortly propose a less costly paper. It cannot 307W however, recommend paper containing recycled fibre, partly because it is more difficult to die stamp satisfactorily and partly because it would cost more than the paper being recommended.
