§ Mr. BishopI regret that, because of the number of different factors influencing market prices, it is not possible to give a precise estimate of the effect of moving to full Community price levels and eliminating the gap between the green pound and the current market value of the pound. However, two of the most significant of the factors influencing the market, accession compensatory amounts and monetary compensatory amounts, both of which operate to keep prices down in the United Kingdom, would be eliminated in these circumstances. The current rates for these are as follows:
