§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that on 31st August 1976, 17,285 people had been accepted for training and were awaiting admission to a skillcentre. Skill-centres were formerly known as Government training centres. In addition, some people who wish to take a training course are placed on reserve lists. Such lists are kept in areas where the waiting time for those already accepted for particular courses exceeds 12 months. Where reserve 265W lists are kept, applicants are advised as soon as their application can be considered.
