asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will publish details of how much money has been given by her Department to the International 27W Baccalaureate Office over the last 10 years, showing figures for each year; and if such grants were given to the International Baccalaureate Office for use within the United Kingdom, or solely for use within England and Wales.
§ Miss Margaret Jackson
The total financial support given by my Department to the International Baccalaureate Office to date is:
- 1. a research grant of £2,000 in each of the six financial years 1969–75;
- 2. £5,000 in general support in each of the three financial years 1973–76;
- 3. subject to parliamentary approval of Estimates, £5,000 in general support in each of the financial years 1977–78 and 1978–79.
These grants represent United Kingdom support.
