§ Mr. LuardAs the Prime Minister announced to the House on 4th December 1975, the European Council agreed at its meeting of 1st and 2nd December on the introduction of a uniform passport as from 1978. The Government are committed to the adoption of a uniform style with our European partners. Discussions on the details are proceeding.
