§ Mr. Rifkindasked the Lord Advocate which legislation concerning sexual offences in Scotland is not included in the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Consolidation Bill presently being considered by Parliament.
The Lord AdvocateThe main statutory provisions concerning offences in Scotland with a sexual connotation which are not included in the Bill are the Burgh Police (Scotland) Act 1892, Sections 380, 381, 401 and 403; the Vagrancy Act 1824, Section 4, as applied to Scotland by the Prevention of Crime Act 1871, Section 15; and the Incest Act 1567. Local Acts are also excluded from the Bill.
