§ 17. Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will establish an inquiry into the effectiveness of his Department in meeting its quota obligations in respect of the employment of 90W disabled workers in defence establishments.
§ Dr. GilbertI do not think an inquiry is necessary. On 1st June 1976, 5,650 known registered disabled persons were employed in the Department, that is, about 2¼ per cent. of the total staff. However, this figure does not fully reflect the extent to which disabled people are employed.
