§ Mr. EnnalsThe consultative document "A Review of the Mental Health Act 1959" published in August includes discussion of issues relating to the rights of patients. In the light of the comments on the document we hope to publish a White Paper next year setting out our proposals for changes to the Act, with a view to amending legislation as soon as practicable thereafter.
