§ Mr. Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what financial assistance Her Majesty's Government will make available to the British participants in the Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture to be held in Nigeria next year.
§ Mr. RowlandsHer Majesty's Government have agreed to pay the registration fee of US$10,000 on behalf of the United Kingdom African Festival Committee, to enable them to send participants to this important event. Parliamentary approval will be sought in a Supplementary Estimate in due course. Pending that approval, the necessary expenditure will be met by a repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
