§ Mr. Roderickasked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) if he will publish in the Official Report the total amount recovered by legal action from defaulting 886W pay-bed patients by the Welsh Hospital Board from the time of its inception;
(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the total amount written off in respect of defaulting pay-bed patients by the Welsh Hospital Board since its inception;
(3) if he will publish in the Official Report the total amount recovered by legal action from defaulting pay-bed patients by the Welsh Hospital Board for the last 10 years of its existence;
(4) if he will publish in the Official Report the total amount written off in respect of defaulting pay-bed patients by the Welsh Hospital Board for the last 10 years of its existence.
§ Mr. Barry JonesNo pay-bed charges were written off by the former Welsh Hospital Board because it delegated its powers of write-off to hospital management committees. I regret that the information relating to recovery by legal action from defaulting pay-bed patients is not available.
