In June 1975 there were 697,000 male and 3,551,000 female employees in part-time employment in 1007W Great Britain. Broad estimates from the 1975 Family Expenditure Survey indicate that around two-fifths of male employees and around one-tenth of female employees in part-time employment were over retiring age.
