§ Mr. GoldingThe Manpower Services Commission comprises a full-time chairman and nine other members who serve part-time. It was announced on 6th August—[Vol. 916, c.1139]—that responsibility for the activities of the Commission in Scotland would be transferred to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, as proposed in the White Paper "Our Changing Democracy: Devolution to Scotland and Wales".

(2) whether he has now arranged a timetable for the establishment of the Manpower Services Commission in Scotland.

Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland. Discussions are still in progress with the MSC and others concerned on the detailed arrangements for the transfer.
