§ Mr. PrenticeIn response to an appeal launched by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, we have decided to make a contribution of £250,000 to assist with a programme of humanitarian assistance for refugees and displaced persons in Angola. My hon.908W Friend himself made a timely statement to this effect at the UNHCR Executive Committee meeting held in Geneva last month. Provision will be sought in the winter Supplementary Estimates. If payment is necessary before that approval, an advance from the Contingencies Fund will be sought.
