§ Miss Margaret JacksonMy right hon. Friend is considering all aspects of school transport, in consultation with her right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport as well as all educational interests concerned. At the local level there is much to be gained by the closest possible co-operation between the education and transport authorities, and advice has been given by the Department of Transport to local authorities concerning transport supplementary grant which has emphasised the need to consider school and other public transport requirements together.
