§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy how much he spent on energy research in the United Kingdom and Scotland, respectively, in the current financial year.
§ Mr. EadieExpenditure for which my right hon. Friend has responsibility, including that of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority in direct support of the power programme plus fusion, on energy research and development will amount to some £137 million gross in the current financial year. Of this some 20 to 25 per cent. will be spent in Scotland.
