§ 49. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will now require the Hong Kong Government to meet the full cost of the British Armed Forces stationed in Hong Kong.
§ Mr. MulleyI am satisfied that the new defence costs agreement, which came into force earlier this year and represents a substantial increase in the contribution made by the Hong Kong Government, remains in the best interests of both Governments. Its main provisions were announced to the House on 19th December 1975.—[Vol. 902, c. 814.]
