§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons have been detained in Northern Ireland under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act at the latest date for which figures are available; how many have subsequently been charged with offences; and with what offences they have been charged.
§ Mr. MasonAs at 3rd November 1976, 221 persons had been held in Northern Ireland under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Acts 1974 and 1976. 114 of these persons were subsequently charged with the following offences:
