§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proportion of the total profit of 65 per cent. of the company about which he has received information from the hon. Member for Brent, South is due to sale of medicines to the National Health Service.
§ Mr. MoyleThe figure of 65 per cent. does not refer to the total profit of the company but to the increase in profit in the year ended 30th June 1976 over the profit of the previous year. The relatively small part of the company's total business which is devoted to the sale of medicines to the National Health Service, and which is subject to the voluntary price regulation scheme, contributes only a small part to the reported increase in profit.
