§ 35. Mr. Hattonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he intends to hold with local authorities during the period of review of policies for the urban areas which he announced on 17th September.
§ Mr. ShoreI shall invite the views of local authorities as appropriate. In particular I look forward to receiving their views on the main findings of the three inner area studies, when these are published.
§ 36. Mr. Newtonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what specific policy changes he is proposing, following his recent speech on strategic planning issues, arising from the problems of the major urban areas.
§ Mr. ShoreThe reviews of inner city problems and of decentralisation policies have only recently started: it is too early to predict what changes may result.
