§ Mr. MarksThe figure of 2,019 represents actual staff in post at 1st July 1976 whereas the figure of 2,105 represents the authorised staff complement for 1st April 1978. The figures are not therefore comparable. The authorised complement of 2,105 for April 1978 is in fact a reduction of 75 on the July 1976 authorised complement.
