asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the percentage of unemployed people in the London borough of Enfield.

I regret that this information is not available at present. Percentage rates of unemployment are calculated only for the whole of Greater London.

At 13th May, the number of people registered as unemployed in the Enfield Employment Office area was 1,473.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the percentage of registered disabled people in the London borough of Enfield who are unemployed.

It is not possible to give a figure for the London borough of Enfield as its boundaries and those of the three employment areas which are wholly or partly in the borough do not coincide. But at the Enfield Employment Office, whose area lies wholly in the borough, the latest available figure is 8.4 per cent.
