HC Deb 28 May 1976 vol 912 cc498-9W
Mr. Bob Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is satisfied with the co-ordination between his Department and the Department of Employment and the Health and Safety Commission with regard to the dangers arising from the use of asbestos in hospitals and clinics; and if he will make a statement.

Dr. Owen,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 25th May, 1976, Vol. 912, c. 133], gave the following information:

Yes I am satisfied, and I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him by my hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Construction on 25th May.—[Vol. 912, c. 179–80.]—My Department has nominated a medical and a lay assessor to the Advisory Committee on Asbestos to which my hon. Friend referred.
